Anna took early retirement from her
mainframe computer career to work as a researcher for New
World Publications. Fifteen years ago, she started
shooting underwater video to assist husband Ned in
studying and documenting fish behavior for his book,
Reef Fish Behavior: Florida, Bahamas, Caribbean. Her
comprehensive video footage proved indispensable for
analyzing marine life behaviors detailed in the book and
series of articles that she and Ned wrote for Ocean Realm
and for Scuba Diving Magazine, where they were Marine Life
Editors until 2009. In 2004 Anna produced
Sensational Seas,
Rare Sights From the Sea
as a fundraiser for REEF and in 2007 she produced another
DVD for REEF: Reef Fish Identification: A Beginning
Course. National Geographic, the Discovery Channel,
NOAA’s Ocean Media Center and numerous national newscasts
have used her video. Anna serves on the Board of Trustees
of REEF and continues to travel extensively and lead trips
with husband Ned and their partner, Paul Humann. In 2008
she began posting chronicles of their travels to
www.marinelifeblog.com.
