Constantinos Petrinos was born in Athens and spent his
early childhood in Cameroon, Africa where, while growing
up, he aspired to become a marine biologist. However,
practical considerations led to a business degree from
Dartmouth College in the U.S. A few years back, he
exchanged his business suit for a wetsuit to dive and
photograph the world's coral reefs. His stunning
large-format book Realm of the Pigmy Seahorse, presents a
kaleidoscope of exotic marine images from northern Sulawesi, Indonesia. Constantinos usually stays on
location for a minimum of two months when working on a
project. To set up his long trips he relies on his
sponsors Kungkungan Bay Resort, Singapore Airlines
(Athens), Silk Air and Ocean Optics. Constantinos lives in
Athens with fellow photographer Carine Schrurs and their
son Leon.
